Whisky Talks Ltd. Jerez Whisky Retreat Terms & Conditions

1. General Information
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to the Whisky Talks Jerez Whisky Retreat (the “Retreat”) organised by Whisky Talks Ltd. (the “Organiser”).
1.2 By booking your place on the Retreat, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking and Payment
2.1 A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total Retreat fee is required to secure your booking.
2.2 Full payment must be made by [final payment date]. Failure to complete payment by this date may result in the forfeiture of your booking and deposit.
2.3 Bookings are transferable to another individual, provided you notify the Organiser in writing at least 14 days before the Retreat begins.
2.4 Failure to meet payment deadlines as part of a plan may result in cancellation of the booking, with applicable cancellation fees applied.

3. Cancellations
3.1 If you cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

  • More than 60 days before the Retreat: Deposit only.

  • Between 30-59 days: 50% of the total fee.

  • Less than 30 days: 100% of the total fee.
    3.2 In the event the Organiser cancels the Retreat, you will receive a full refund of any payments made.
    3.3 Refunds for extraordinary circumstances (e.g., illness or emergencies) will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are at the sole discretion of the Organiser.

4. Inclusions and Exclusions
4.1 The Retreat fee includes:

  • Accommodation for the duration of the Retreat.

  • Meals as outlined in the itinerary.

  • All planned activities, tours, and masterclasses.

  • Transportation within Jerez related to the Retreat itinerary.
    4.2 The Retreat fee does not include:

  • Flights or transportation to and from Spain.

  • Travel insurance (required for all attendees).

  • Personal expenses, such as additional meals or drinks not included in the itinerary.

5. Travel Insurance
5.1 All attendees must hold valid travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, and personal liability.

6. Liability
6.1 The Organiser is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the Retreat, except where caused by the Organiser’s negligence.
6.2 The Organiser is not responsible for any issues or disruptions caused by third-party providers, such as accommodations or transportation services.
6.3 Attendees participate in all activities at their own risk.

7. Itinerary Changes
7.1 The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. Any significant changes will be communicated as soon as possible.

8. Force Majeure
8.1 The Organiser shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemics, travel restrictions, strikes, or extreme weather conditions.
8.2 In such circumstances, the Organiser will make every effort to reschedule the Retreat or provide reasonable alternatives. Refunds may be offered at the Organiser’s discretion but are not guaranteed.

9. Alcohol Consumption
9.1 Attendees must be of legal drinking age in Spain (18 years or older) to participate in whisky tastings and any alcohol-related activities.
9.2 The Organiser encourages responsible drinking and reserves the right to exclude any participant from activities if their behavior, due to alcohol consumption, becomes disruptive or unsafe.

10. Code of Conduct
10.1 Attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, and local communities.
10.2 The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant from the Retreat for inappropriate behavior, with no refund provided.

11. Health and Safety
11.1 Attendees must inform the Organiser of any dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical conditions at the time of booking.
11.2 The Organiser will take reasonable steps to accommodate such needs but cannot guarantee that all requirements will be met.

12. Media and Photography
12.1 The Organiser may take photos and videos during the Retreat for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to your image being used in such materials.
12.2 If you do not wish to appear in promotional materials, please notify the Organiser in writing before the start of the Retreat.

13. Intellectual Property
13.1 All materials provided during the Retreat, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and digital content, remain the property of the Organiser or its speakers.
13.2 Attendees may not reproduce, distribute, or use these materials for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

14. Dietary Restrictions and Accessibility
14.1 While the Organiser will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary restrictions and accessibility needs, these must be communicated at the time of booking. Availability of certain accommodations may depend on third-party providers.

15. Covid-19 or Health-Related Guidelines
15.1 Attendees must adhere to all health and safety guidelines in place during the Retreat, including those related to Covid-19 or other health concerns.
15.2 The Organiser reserves the right to request proof of vaccination, testing, or other measures as deemed necessary for the safety of all attendees.

16. Governing Law
16.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
